"The Republican chair of the Senate Armed Services Committee (Wicker) and the Dem ranking member (Reed) are jointly demanding an investigation into the Signal chat. Wicker has told NBC he believes the information in the chat would be classified."
-A Gill
A good sign, but Senator Wicker has to follow through.
@KimPerales Let's be honest - yes, yes "her emails" responses by all these people are proof that they're hypocritical children, but the GOP is going to let this die and it will be out of the news in 5 days.
And OF COURSE Hesgeth shouldn't be the Sec Def. But if we're deporting people because of tattoos, resigning from the military because of a right wing tattoo is reason enough to not be running the defense department.
At least Copy/Pasting operational details into an unsecure channel to show off his big war penis to the other cabinet members has the side effect of letting everyone in the US military and intelligence community and whatever allies we still have know that this White House and everyone in it are security risks and should get minimal intel with maximal oversight.
@jonathanpeterson
This time, the Democrats will be unrelenting.
@KimPerales Only so much you can do as the minority party. And beating a dead horse just lets more shit go by unnoticed. Trump is rightly celebrating ivy league universities and pink stocking law firms bending the knee to him and he has been in office 3 months. We have 4 more years. Taking Michael Walz scalp, now or in a couple months will do nothing to change that.
@jonathanpeterson
I hope that Trump will be relegated to MAL very soon, where he can play golf for the rest of his term.
@KimPerales That makes sense. Discussion of how best to commit war crimes would likely be classified.
