@axeshun @SheHacksPurple People are trying to do bad stuff to your organization using computers (or stuff with computers in them). Infosec people either try to defend against that, help figure out ways to do that before the bad people do (and fix them), or make sure the organization is following any laws, regulations, or contract requirements to help make that less likely. There are other ways into Infosec but those are some of the big ones ELI5 style.
