As Shorman reports, Kelli McGlothlin of St. Joseph, Missouri, voted for Trump.

She now finds herself out of a job with the IRS due to Trump-Musk's gutting of the federal government. She's furious.

But does she regret her Trump vote? Apparently not.

Musk did this to her, she says. Not Trump.

Though Musk wouldn't be rampaging through the federal government WITHOUT TRUMP standing right with him, giving him free rein.

As Jess Piper writes,

Elon is Trump. DOGE is Trump. Layoffs are Trump. Higher grocery prices are Trump. Tariffs are Trump. Misery is Trump. All of this is Trump."

Then there's Jensy Machado, who voted for Trump and has a Trump decal on his truck, who was detained at gunpoint by ICE recently, though he's a US citizen. As the God blog notes, Machado is now "thinking about" his choice to vote for Trump. But he's not saying he regrets his vote or that he made a bad choice.

Again, how does one deal with the density of so many low-information voters?

Is this about "low information?" I mean he had a life- experience; his information is something close to maximal is it not?

This is something else. This isn't about not knowing what's happening, this is about accepting your own brutalization. This is an attribute of a cult, I think.

Trump has succeeded in defining his enemies as their enemies and no amount of "information" can break that spell.

To be blunt: if Trump personally murdered his child, the man would not abandon Trump.
