a political fetish of privileged people who believe in their own entitlement. To "reset" wisdom collected over hundreds of years of observing social patterns is a war against facts.

The removal of some confederate statues in the South vs removal of DEI initiatives.

In one case, people removed artifacts that cast a dark cloud, reminding them of the presence of of historic oppression.

In the other case, capitalist moguls remove something that hangs over them like a dark cloud, reminding them they haven't adopted or complied with the law.
