Esquire · The Secretary of Defense TEXTED Top-Secret War Plans to the Editor of ‘The Atlantic’?!By Charles P. Pierce

“'If it was anyone other than Hillary Clinton, they would be in jail right now,' Hegseth said of the disclosure [that Hillary was using a private email server as Secretry of State] in 2016. He added, 'If you are using unclassified means, there is the potential for and likelihood that foreign governments are targeting those accounts.'”

Daily KosHegseth should go to jail for war plan leaks, according to HegsethSeveral of the top Trump administration officials involved in the leak of war plans to a private online chat previously called for criminal prosecution when former Secretary Hillary Clinton’s private emails were leaked. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth,...

"All the speculation that goofs like Hegseth and Gabbard and Ratcliff and the rest of them were amateurs and jokes has brought us to a place where the people supposedly in charge of our national security were celebrating the attacks on the Houthis by posting 'fist' and 'flexed bicep' and 'American flag' and 'hands praying' emojis along with reassurances to each other that they had said 'a prayer for victory.'”

"Steve Witkoff was on there too, texting the most emojis of all, five in a row (two hands-praying, a flexed bicep, and two American flags)! And guess where Steve Witkoff happened to be on Thursday, March 13? Why, in RUSSIA, getting choked up while Putin told him he’d prayed in church for Trump after he got shot in the ear."

Wonkette · Worst. Security. Breach. Ever. 🤯By Marcie Jones

Everywhere this morning, MAGA meatheads are manning the front lines. Testosterone-poisoned blockheads, muscles stuffed into ill-fitting suits, clamor for headspace in the online green rooms of right-wing media, waiting for a minute or two to perform the spectacular logistic acrobatics that will please the circus master."

it’s not just that we are being bombarded with their idiocy and the consequences of it. It’s that we have our noses shoved in it, constantly, as we are told that accomplished service members and heroes that aren’t white middle-aged men are 'DEI' hires."

@wdlindsy
Kick them out and put adults back in charge.

@wdlindsy

That was my thought when I heard about this #SignalLeak

I could imagine Hegseth saying "Damn, I meant to add Lavrov"

@wdlindsy
It was an advertisement. “If we gave this away for free, imagine what you can have if you pay.”

@wdlindsy Or, Trump gives code-word classified intelligence, methods and personnel to Russian spy masters in the Oval Office and then has a photo op.

@wdlindsy ....freezes one's blood in one's veins......

@wdlindsy

The joke about this, however is that guys like Elon Musk and the guys of Project 2025 are the ones who assert, it’s their rule, their control that’s superior to democracy and in subverting and in installing people under their rule, they are only substantiating that they are the incompetent people.

They want to obliterate the nation and replace it with their wacky ideas. There won’t be a United States even in name.

@GhostOnTheHalfShell @wdlindsy
We have to find a better way to talk about Musk. "Not elected" is not the point. How is he different from the many people to whom Trump delegates authority? Sometimes the answer is that Musk is doing things Trump would not be allowed to do, so Trump can't give him that authority. Trump loudly delegates and supports things he can't do, and people are not calling out that he's overstepped until it gets to court.

@wdlindsy

In many cases, the best choice is all of the above.

@wdlindsy I'm going to have to invent some new punctuation marks and exclamations, because WTAF FFS and !? just aren't cutting it anymore.

@wdlindsy on an insecure app used on a, more than likely, insecure phone over an insecure connection. Let me add.

@wdlindsy
MAL = Mar-A-Lago
So the gang that couldn't do security straight was giving a shout out to Trump at his roach motel.

@wdlindsy "Politically motivated leaks undermine our national security and the trust of the American people and will not be tolerated"
Boy how I wish that were true. Wouldn't that be fun if any of these people actually had integrity or principles?

@wdlindsy

@wdlindsy As punitive as the GOP loves to be, they're awfully picky about who gets punished.

Trump could eat a human baby on live TV 5 days in a row and every time the GOP would excuse it and say "We think he's learned his lesson". There is absolutely no limit to their hypocrisy because they don't hold moral or ethical consistency as values to be upheld.
