Isabel Dobrin (quoted by Greg Dworkin) was trying to take an airplane trip three days ago, but:
"On a plane being held on the runway and pilot has attributed delay to 'staffing issue by the federal government.'
Not enough air traffic controller support this morning, says."
Dobrin points to an article published just the day before her trip, in which Oriana Pawlyk and Sam Ogozalek say,
"The first wave of White House-ordered firings at the Federal Aviation Administration included employees who play important roles in the safety of air travel — despite the Trump administration’s assurances that no 'critical' staff" had been axed."

@wdlindsy Was the pilot allowed to continue the flight in due course or were they arrested for bad-mouthing the regime?
