I'd left the hook out as a prompt recently, so when I was clearing the table and saw it I just went out and did it.</p><p>What are your favourite ADHD tips?</p><p>* obviously time blindness is a limiting factor, but hopefully something this small isn't too bad.</p><p><a href="https://toot.wales/tags/ADHD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ADHD</span></a> <a href="https://toot.wales/tags/ADHDtips" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ADHDtips</span></a> <a href="https://toot.wales/tags/neurodiverse" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>neurodiverse</span></a></p>

theADHDacademic<p>If you aren't listening to the podcast "All The Things ADHD " you are missing out, especially <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/ADHDAcademics" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ADHDAcademics</span></a>. Honestly, there are five seasons now so you're bound to find an episode that will help you. It's created by Lee Skallerup Bessette and Aimée Morrison. They are both PhDs with ADHD working in <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/HigherEd" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>HigherEd</span></a>.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/ADHD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ADHD</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/ADHDTips" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ADHDTips</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/AllTheThingsADHD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AllTheThingsADHD</span></a></p><p><a href="https://allthethingsadhd.com/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">allthethingsadhd.com/</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>

Arp Laszlo • Comics • ADHD<p>I finally learned to be a lot easier on myself about 3 years ago and it has made living with <a href="https://mythology.social/tags/adhd" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>adhd</span></a> so much easier (so has <a href="https://mythology.social/tags/Stoicism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Stoicism</span></a> and being intentional about whether something is worth the energy or not).</p><p>If you had to give one tip to someone newly diagnosed with ADHD, what would it be?</p><p><a href="https://mythology.social/tags/ADHDTips" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ADHDTips</span></a> <a href="https://mythology.social/tags/AmyPoehler" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AmyPoehler</span></a></p><p><a href="https://whatwasidoingagain.com/adhd-memes/4005/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">whatwasidoingagain.com/adhd-me</span><span class="invisible">mes/4005/</span></a></p>
Arp Laszlo • Comics • ADHD<p>Q: How do you stay focused on one project or idea at a time?</p><p>A: I stop myself from doing too much in one day, or over multiple days (ie <a href="https://mythology.social/tags/hyperfocus" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>hyperfocus</span></a>), because it results in mild burnout, which means I have to stop &amp;amp; distract myself; days become weeks become months and re-starting *always* feels worse than starting.</p><p>So I limit myself to X hours/day, with flexibility to stop a little sooner if a stopping point presents itself, or a little later if I have to complete something. (This also accounts for Y hours/day for work.) </p><p>The biggest thing is to be easy on myself because my inner critic is a harsh MF. Being able to let it go (thx to <a href="https://mythology.social/tags/Stoicism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Stoicism</span></a>) and think that I’ll do better tomorrow is much more helpful than beating myself up. It makes getting back on the horse easier.</p><p>What about you?</p><p><a href="https://mythology.social/tags/ADHD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ADHD</span></a> <a href="https://mythology.social/tags/adhdQA" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>adhdQA</span></a> <a href="https://mythology.social/tags/adhdTips" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>adhdTips</span></a> <a href="https://mythology.social/tags/YMMV" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>YMMV</span></a></p><p><a href="https://whatwasidoingagain.com/adhd-asides/q-how-do-you-stay-focused-on-one-project-or-idea-at-a-time/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">whatwasidoingagain.com/adhd-as</span><span class="invisible">ides/q-how-do-you-stay-focused-on-one-project-or-idea-at-a-time/</span></a></p>
