Tuomas Väisänen 📼🧟‍♂️<p>Just watched Alien: Romulus.</p><p>From the recent Alien films, this is easily the best one.</p><p>Several great scenes, the two main actors were fantastic, pacing was good, visuals were spectacular, beautiful practical set design and effects, some nice subtle visual callbacks, and good spins on old tropes. Music similar to originals - very atmospheric. Old style set design and call-outs to so many of the previous films. Nostalgia bait galore. Practical effects. Jenny<p>Just watched <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/AlienRomulus" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>AlienRomulus</span></a>. No spoilers, but I had a couple thoughts:</p><p>1: My decision not to pursue a career in space mining was the correct one. No regerts.</p><p>2: I have established with my husband that if I am attacked by a facehugger, he will kill me. Immediately. Without delay. No consulting with others or calculating if maybe I can still be saved. Just off with my head, on with his day, and no hard feelings.*</p><p>*Coincidentally, this also applies if I am ever bitten in the head by a spider.</p>
