StevanHerself this morning: "I heard Barty the Badger last night. It sounded as though he was knocking rocks over again. But the rocks around the bird feeders are still in place." So we checked the BadgerCam.... This despite trying to put anti-deer fencing in place. I also saw a small group of deer in velvet, crossing the road yesterday. I wonder if it's the weather that's brought them off the hill. The wind feels to have moderated a little, but may have just swung a bit. Notice the direct correlation between the lowest pressure and that sudden rise as the eye passed over, followed by the increase in wind. We've had sustained winds around the 40mph mark and some gusts up to 72mph. StevanMeanwhile Davie the Crofter has lifted his sheep and they're in Stoer fank, for shearing. He was bemoaning his usual skilful timing yesterday, choosing shearing to coincide with rain, but he's been lucky to get a good lot done in yesterday's break in the weather.
