Paradroyd<p>This is what BBSing at 300 baud looks like. </p><p>In 1984, this was about as good as it got for me.</p><p>Tonight, I needed to hit a couple of Atari / ATASCII BBSs and all I had at hand was a C64. So..I used "AtariTerm", which does ATASCII, but tops out at 300 baud.</p><p>It's like riding a bike through a neighborhood you usually fly though at 40MPH. Mistigris computer arts<p>Mistigram: Illarterate documents a hitherto forgotten (or possibly, entirely confabulated) data storage device for 8-bit micros, the "biskette" -- where the cassette tape deliciously meets the 3.5 inch floppy diskette. It doesn't quite fit, so the user may need a little bit of assistance -- or a healthy dose of elbow grease (or maybe a pat of soft, room temperature butter) -- to fit it in the target machine. This screen was drawn for an <a href="https://oldbytes.space/tags/ATASCII" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ATASCII</span></a> art competition last year, and was included in the new MIST0223 artpack collection.</p>
