This is another book that feels like it has much more story than lore, though for those of you with a keen ear and mind, you will probably be able to spot some key lines that have in them more lore than it may first appear. It's odd to think that, out of the relatively few stories in which a Bosmer features as a main character, I've done two back to back :cat_giggle:

Speaking of Bosmer, I envisaged Lady Allena Benoch as a mature, experienced woman and tried to express that in her voice. Hopefully, you like how she came out :hug_love:

It feels odd to have a story so true to what Dibella stands for yet also disconnected from the worldly affairs that are usually considered "lore". Even [Night Falls On Sentinel] wasn't quite this oblivious to wider events, but I think that's also part of its charm.

I say primer because it's nice to have an idea of what they are, but it really won't help you in the gameplay, and the gameplay itself hardly gives many answers, either. Uuunfortunately, while giving us some idea of the power of the elder scrolls, the story really gets us no closer to properly understanding why or how they do what they do. It's implied that reading them costs you your vision, but beyond that, it's one of those stories where you come out of it with as many questions as scrolls :not_like_this:

The Elder Scrolls has a lot of lore that affects the stories that play out in the games, but it can be hard to track it down in an easy-to-understand form. The books tend to be all over the place, picked up out of order, or, as is the case for a lot of us, just something we don't really engage with while we're playing :bugcat_nod:

Yup, it's the dark brotherhood, a group that stems from an earlier group who was born of a worship for Mephala :cat_giggle: The Dark Brotherhood quest-line is, as I hear it, a lot of people's favourites when it comes to The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, from the way it's introduced to how it plays out, and it's often used as a barometer to measure other quest-lines up against, both in Oblivion and in other TES games.
