I can tell my husband is feeling better. He is finally getting hungry for treats.
He has gotten much thinner while he has been sick, and could stand to gain ten pounds back, so I am baking his favorites by request.
Peanut butter cookies, with both peanut butter and chocolate chips, are hot out of the oven for an afternoon snack.
I baked a double batch so some can go home with the grandkids when they deliver our groceries later today.
The peanut butter might make these health food.
Maybe?
No matter, they are comfort food at least.

3 good things and then some more:

- Slept well.
- Took some time to look through the the sessions for a con I will attend in July, narrowing down choices for the sign-up phase
- Baked baguettes. Ate baguette with cheese. So good. 🥖
- Watched more Frieren: Beyond Journey's End
- Read a fanzine (finishing anything always feels like an accomplishment 😅 )

May's cocktail pie - Bellini Vegetarian Sausage Rolls

Bellinis (nowadays) typically contain Prosecco and peach purée.

My sausage rolls have a Prosecco and blue cheese sausage, with a peach and sage jam, wrapped up in puff pastry - and there’s a bunch of other good stuff in there too, making these about the heartiest veggie sausage rolls I’ve ever had!

Bakers: I can tell I'm going to have to learn how to bake a San Francisco style crusty sourdough. I also want to learn how to bake French and other Western European style pastries.

Do folks have books and video channels to recommend for the best way to learn this if one cannot afford (or get to) classes?
