A went out for an early grey walk along the coast path and was greeted by a lovely Robin (Erithacus rubecula). The weather is a bit milder for them at the moment and was quite atmospheric.

Later, I did some beach cleaning and found another wrecked boat - now all waiting for the council to collect and no longer able to pollute the Severn estuary.

Have a good weekend folks

Saw this busy female Blackbird (Turdus merula) along the coast path, the strong winds have died down today, which I think many wildlife and humans appreciated!

I went for a walk and then I got distracted into an unplanned beach clean... and ended up spending 2 hrs moving a 10ft boat!

Back along the coast path to Portishead today and I came across this Woodpigeon (Columba palumbus). I stood and watched them for a moment.

After that I did some beach cleaning & road verge rubbish collecting. In the past I've come across different wildlife that have been affected and sometimes injured by those careless to leave their rubbish in nature.

My last session of beach cleaning this week in Cornwall was rewarded by a inquisitive Rook (Corvus frugilegus). After sorting through the rubbish I collected I noticed this solitary Rook taking an interest, so left them some food I had in my bag.

It was as though they were saying; "here's rooking at you...!"

Had a productive day of beach cleaning between Charlcombe Bay and Blacknore Lighthouse today. 5 bin bags worth of small stuff as well as larger plastic rubbish including a wheelie bin from Wales, large dog bed, 200lts barrel, a part of a fridge, a few traffic cones, a few supermarket crates, misc containers and a dozen beer cans thrown in a hedge. Oh, and a pruning knife..!
