Congratulations: calling it a 'worthy and necessary endeavor' means that we do agree. In these times that may be something to celebrate.
You're also congratulated on your energy consumption. Kudos to you. But I'm afraid that you, me and so many others fell into the trap #BigOil has set: putting the responsibility with the consumers. While they have known since the seventies what they were doing.
I cense a feeling of despair and powerlessness. That may be a question of POV. Glass half full situation. And, of course, the way #ClimateChange has been represented. It can not be prevented. It is not a 'all or nothing' battle. For my grandkid it will make a huge difference if the tide turns at 1.8 C° or at 2.3 C° [Both figures are optimistic but my glass remains half full] The point is: everything helps to minimize the disaster and despair caused by greed and capitalism.
Money talks, indeed ! The time is already there that renewable energy is by far cheaper than the old dinosaurs. #BigOil will spend millions in denying it, but that tide has already turned. No campaign can deny that within time energy will be free. (?!)
But only if politics change. It's time for politics to no longer be the manservant of #BigMoney and, not to forget the popular opinion (susceptible to propaganda); but to LEAD. To set the stage. Reward 'good' behavior and severely punish the bad. But that takes guts.
Now for the [last] question: nobody can wait anymore ! But if you want some positive data: check out my post on #ClimateSolutions where I share my positive findings, opinions and video's. I have no scientific data but what I have I share.
So, in conclusion, keep doing what your doing. Take every opportunity to get active, preferably AFK [away from keyboard].
#BernieSanders Slams '#BigMoney Interests' and Consultants That Control Democratic Party After Loss to Trump
"It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working-class people would find that the working class has abandoned them. First, it was the white working class, and now it is Latino and Black workers as well."
