Just finished the book Meta doesn't want you to read: CARELESS PEOPLE by Sarah Wynn-WIlliams. I don't normally read tell all books but this one is worth a read. You can get through it quickly as it isn't a difficult read. But if you have friends and/or family that use Facebook and they are still capable of any kind of critical thought you should buy them a copy of the book. It's chilling.

All my lifelong middle class Black friends: Here's the 10th article on what Trump is doing and why.
Me: Were you uncertain about what he was doing and why?
Them: Well now let's see if Congress will have a "come to Jesus" moment.
Me:
Me: (When I stop laughingly insanely) What are you all planning on doing?
Them:........
yeah...that's where we are.

My favorite #MastodonTradition happens twice a year when 400 White people boost a single "Where are all the other Black people?" post so that 5 of the 29 Black people on here can get tagged in the same thread and discover that we already follow each other.
What's your favorite Mastodon Tradition?

The new African Film Festival ends Thursday night. You can leave the theater with a heavy heart after seeing the suffering the merchants of death are causing. Millions of Africans being killed and maimed while the west turns a blind eye. To the people of Sudan (No & So), Somalia, DRC, Ethiopia we see your fight to survive. To my family and friends in Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso, may you some day have a govt chosen by ballot rather than bullet.

This is my favorite time of the year in DC. The New African Film Festival is going on at AFI Silver Spring. Its 12 days of African film showings. Ethiopian film makers were heavily featured this week so I'm sharing a cut by Abby Lakew called Tene Habesha. Enjoy and the festival runs through 3/27.

I missed posting this on Friday but since the music is from the diaspora we'll just say the delay was due to travel. Recently saw Arturo O'Farrill & the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra. Great show. This cut is La Puerta. https://youtu.be/qcQ2c0jllhw
