Ein Freund hat mir Miniaturen für #Bloodbowl zurückgegeben. Mit der aus #Dunkelelfen zusammengestellten Mannschaft "Olath Veldrin" errang ich im Jahr 2002 beim "Bennos Blood-Bowl Cup", dem damals bekanntesten und renommierteste Bloodbowl-Turnier im Großraum #Dortmund, den vierten Platz. Berühmt geworden sind die Veldriner gleichwohl, da sie es in den fünf Turnierspielen auf insgesamt 26 Pässe und abgefangenen Bälle brachten - was nie wieder (auch nur annähernd) erreicht wurde.

In the home stretch with my Eagle Linewomen. Fourth down? Turn eight? No, those imply a time limit. First and goal?

I didn't get as much painting done this weekend as I meant to. Partly the dog refusing to decide if she wanted in or out the other night. Partly because my background noise was a Blue Prince stream and that game has a way of pulling attention and focus, even watching somebody else play.

Here are some partially blocked linewomen.

We have a 28mm model of an anthropomorphic rat wearing a green dress with red frills. She's angrily facing right with a machete wielded above her head.

Did part of #ThrudTheBarbarian's boots and redid part of NMM after I doubted myself and fked it up.

I hate leather straps.

Anyway, I bought a few Vallejo synthetic brushes and I'll have you know I've used the 2.0 detail, priced €3, and it was not half bad! Will keep you informed on longevity.

Beefcake with loincloth and bear skin uggs. It's all highly erotic

Threw some color on a thrower

I had intended to work across all six of these positionals tonight and bring them all up together, but I just kept going and going on this particular thrower after I did the snake feathers. I even got eyes that I'm not ashamed of!

Cleaned the paint gunk off #ThrudTheBarbarian for the #Thrudball #charity auction.

Then more biostrip, and cleaned the gunk off him again.

And then I did it again but then with my electric toothbrush fffff!

Then varnished, primed green and started on the skin.

When the furry animals of Northymbra are not trying to fight each other, they can sometimes play another 'BB' game: namely Blood Bowl.

Here's the author's Skaven team for a second season at Dice in Portsmouth, based on the beautiful Burrows & Badgers models.

We have 11 models on a slate grey Blood Bowl pitch arranged in a diamond pattern. The models have a team colour scheme of light blue and green. There are four linewomen with black bases, being Edwardian shrew matrons brandishing umbrellas and handbags, one thrower with a white base being a mouse monk praying to the heavens on his knees, two blitzers with red bases being angry shrew cooks with frying pans and rolling pins, three gutter runners with yellow bases being cute mice maidens with baskets a la Red Riding Hood and, finally, on a green base is my rat ogre who is a dapper Edwardian fox with top hat and cane.

detail of the shoulder pad (sadly, there are lots of voxel lines in the area next to the snotling foot. Needs varnish so isn't that reflective anymore.

Silly troll scratching his own head while a little snotling climbs to his shoulder and points forward. He's chewing another snotling's head (he was about to throw a team mate but got hundry). He's on a muddy base.

Scales are turquoise while his skin is olive green. Has a leather strap with a hanging wood sign (for the team number). armour is black with orange spikes.
