Fishing For MomentsMein Foto zum <a href="https://pixelfed.de/discover/tags/FotoMontag?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#FotoMontag</a> entstand vor dem Institut für Anatomie der Universität <a href="https://pixelfed.de/discover/tags/Rostock?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Rostock</a>. Eigentlich habe ich beim ersten Regen seit längerem dort auf jemanden mit einem Regenschirm gewartet. Natürlich um noch weitere Kreissegmente ins Bild zu bekommen. Leider hatte ich nicht so viel Glück. Aber auch mit dem Radfahrer bin ich nicht unglücklich. Mal schauen, ob jemand darauf kommt, warum.<br>

I was actually waiting for someone there with an umbrella during the first rain in a while. To get some more circle segments in the picture, of course. Unfortunately, I wasn't so lucky. But I'm not unhappy with the cyclist either. Let's see if anyone can figure out why.<br>

Fishing For MomentsDass mal jemand schön mittig durch das Steintor in <a href="https://pixelfed.de/discover/tags/Rostock?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Rostock</a> läuft, ich selbst auch schön mittig stehe, kein Auto im Hintergrund fährt und ich nicht wirklich auf das Motiv warten musste – etwas Glück gehört manchmal dazu.<br>

Fishing For MomentsHier stehe ich wirklich häufig und oft steht auch jemand vor mir – aber noch nie so fotogen wie hier. Gut, dass die kleine X100 immer dabei ist. Das „Fadenkreuz“ habe ich auch erst im fertigen Foto bemerkt. Rät jemand, was auf den Bildschirmen normalerweise angezeigt wird?<br>

I stand here really often and often someone stands in front of me - but never as photogenic as here. It's a good thing that the little X100 is always with me. I only noticed the “crosshairs” in the finished photo. Can anyone guess what is normally shown on the screens?<br>

Fishing For MomentsIn der Mittagszeit zeichnet die Sonne ein X in das Atrium des Konrad-Zuse-Hauses auf dem Südstadtcampus in <a href="https://pixelfed.de/discover/tags/Rostock?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Rostock</a>. Bis vor wenigen Tagen konnte dort die Ausstellung „Geknebelter Geist – Politische Überwachung und Verfolgung an der Rostocker Universität 1945 bis 1989/90“ besichtigt werden. Inzwischen wird sie an einem anderen Ort gezeigt.<br>

Fishing For MomentsZwei junge Menschen betrachten eine Installation im White Cube der Rostocker Kunsthalle. Als sie fort waren, habe ich gemerkt, wie schwer es ist, weiße Gegenstände in einem weißen Raum zu fotografieren. Erst ihre schwarze Kleidung, die Reflexionen der Glasscheibe und die andere Installation, die wie dunkles Laub aussieht, setzen Akzente im Foto.<br>

When they were gone, I realized how difficult it is to photograph white objects in a white room. Zum Glück hatte er den Fotografen gesehen, der da wohl schon 15 Minuten in der Kälte hockte – bei dunstiger Luft sollte die Straßenlaterne im Hintergrund für eine Silhouette sorgen.<br>

Na ja, zumindest einen kleinen Teil davon. Und für den Streetfotografen darf und soll natürlich gern die lebendige Umgebung mit ins Bild. Auf dem Neuen Markt sind immer Menschen unterwegs – manche verweilen, manche laufen wie hier nur über den Platz. Für dieses Foto stand ich einige Minuten mit hochgehaltener Kamera auf der Suche nach dem richtigen Bildausschnitt und auf die richtige Person für den Hintergrund wartend.<br>

Well, at least a small part of it. And for the street photographer, the lively surroundings can and should of course be included in the picture. There are always people out and about on the Neuer Markt - some lingering, some just walking across the square like here. For this photo, I stood for a few minutes with my camera held up, searching for the right frame and waiting for the right person for the background.<br>

Ich experimentiere viel zu selten mit dieser in der Kamera integrierten kreativen Möglichkeit. Hier hatte ich mir zum Ziel gesetzt, eine Uhr, eine Halle mit dem Tragwerk und eine Person mit Rollkoffer abzubilden. Die Einstellungen passten ziemlich schnell und so brauchte ich nur wenige Versuche für ein Bild, das mir gefiel.<br>

I experiment far too rarely with this creative option integrated into the camera. Here I had set myself the goal of capturing a clock, a hall with the supporting structure and a person with a trolley case. The settings worked pretty quickly and I only needed a few attempts to get an image that I liked.<br>
