hkz<p>My <a href="https://social.chinwag.org/tags/C128" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>C128</span></a> test machine is almost ready, the internal SD2IEC made me swear a bit (apparently it did not like flashing it's firmware from the specific SD I was using, corrupting its flash and fuses...), but now it's ok.<br>SRAM mod installed, SIDkick pico is there, a VIC-2 digitizer too, replacement RF board, 16K VRAM, plus consolidated ROM mod (a-la C128 DCR).</p>

Patai Gergely :c64:<p>Here's a secret known only to a few people: the <a href="https://mastodon.gamedev.place/tags/C128" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>C128</span></a> can push the VIC-II further than the <a href="https://mastodon.gamedev.place/tags/C64" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>C64</span></a> thanks to an undocumented "test bit" exposed by the hardware that affects the timing of the video signal.
