Starting today, for each day of #C2E2, three of my self-published stories will drop as ebooks on multiple online bookstores like #Kobo, #Smashwords, #BarnesandNoble, and others! From an apocalypse, to a folksy tale about a mysterious girl and her dog, to a cursed guy…you’re sure to find something you like! Only ninety-nine cents! Check my bio.

I’ll miss tooting during #Svengoolie next week, since I’ll be at #C2E2. And don’t forget on Friday, April 26, after the “Frightening an Audience” panel with other Horror Writers Association Chicagoland Chapter members, I'll be doing a book signing with my fellow panelists. You can find me at Anderson's Bookshop, booth #163. Come say hi. I'll even sign your forehead—whether you want it or not.

Those who follow me may recall that I posted readings from an Aranet4 CO2 monitor at the three gaming conventions I attended in 2022, as a way of evaluating the venues' ventilation. (In brief: Gen Con terrible, Gamehole Con excellent, PAX Unplugged mostly good but significantly elevated Saturday afternoon.)

I didn't post readings at #C2E2 this year, but if anyone's curious: They were in the middle (mostly 900–1,300 ppm, peaking around 1,500). Not great, but not dangerously high, either.

3 standout happy impressions from #C2E2 weekend

1. A visit from a reader who bought books at Michigan Comicon in 2018 (!) 5 years on, he recalled the plots well enough to tell his friend the details he liked best.

2. Every time a reader looked at my tablemate Dex's books & said, "Sure, give me all 4." SO HAPPY FOR HIM. (Steampunk Cyborg Zombies. Yes. EPIC.)

3.Multiple times, I excitedly talked at length about characters & future book plans w/o feeling like I was boring my listeners.

So far I have restrained my convention splurging to1 new pin for my Con Armor vest, but there may be new art commissions in my future.

One of our table-neighbors on the #C2E2 Artist's Alley makes amazing enamel pins AND is also a supremely talented artist whose style is the kind that sucks me right in.

Izzie & Natalie deserve developmental pics, right? Also I should celebrate getting to Sunday without a meltdown. Yeah. I can rationalize.
