4 teenagers arrested after a #stabbing in #Cambridgeshire - this does look like a targeted attack, also the lads arrested came from areas some distance away where it would be difficult to get to without access to a car - its a warning how bad #ToxicMasculinity has become if they put all that effort into travelling just to commit this #crime (and these things often happen over trivial reasons)

Inspired by the toot from @matt303 - here's a dreadful photo of me in about 1978.
If I remember correctly, I was doing T4 (Thyroxine) assays using radioactive Iodine on serum samples. This would have been using the Amersham International testing kits. The machine / display may well have been some sort of geiger counter.
The photo was definately taken at the old Papworth Hospital in Papworth Everard in #Cambridgeshire

A total of £168.5 million has been distributed among various local authorities, with notable allocations including £15,695,209 for Greater #Manchester Combined Authority, £15,956,459 for West #Midlands Combined Authority, £4,906,860 for #Cambridgeshire and #Peterborough Combined Authority, and £5,494,935 for #Essex County Council. Each authority's allocation varies, reflecting local needs and priorities, ultimately supporting the development of sustainable transport options across England.

Mayor of #Cambridgeshire and #Peterborough, Dr Nik Johnson, has announced a major overhaul of the region’s bus system, bringing services under public control for the first time in 40 years. The move will franchise the bus network, allowing the Combined Authority to set fares, routes, timetables, and service standards, in partnership with private operators. This decision follows a recommendation from the Combined Authority Board and aims to provide a more reliable, affordable, and passenger-focused service. Franchising will allow for a more integrated network, improve rural services, and reduce congestion. The transition will begin in 2027, with improvements in the interim, including a fare cap until December 2025.
