RedHat, Debian and Mac hosts have been affected by <a href="https://theblower.au/tags/Crowdstrike" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Crowdstrike</span></a> in the past 2 years as well.</p><p>The only difference is that they don't have the same blanket coverage that <a href="https://theblower.au/tags/Windows" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Windows</span></a> has.. be thankful the <a href="https://theblower.au/tags/Linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Linux</span></a> boxen didn't go too. That would be far worse. </p><p>Blaming the <a href="https://theblower.au/tags/EU" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>EU</span></a> as root cause shows <a href="https://theblower.au/tags/Microsoft" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Microsoft</span></a> trying to shift blame for it's practices and saturation policies in the name of profit.. it's *Their* Blue screen the world saw as failure, Their MS signed flavor OS driver code, that shat the bed, this time. </p><p>It's merely 'Damage Control' for their rapidly deteriorating image, to blame someone else for their culture issues.</p><p>This does not however excuse corporate <a href="https://theblower.au/tags/ChequeBox" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ChequeBox</span></a> software attitude to compliance, or <a href="https://theblower.au/tags/Crowdstrike" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Crowdstrike</span></a>'s cr@p <a href="https://theblower.au/tags/QA" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>QA</span></a> and <a href="https://theblower.au/tags/Release" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Release</span></a> testing, as the <a href="https://theblower.au/tags/RootCause" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RootCause</span></a>.</p><p>Disasters at scale have many factors to them, the Ishikawa Diagram on this . . is a little bare.</p>
