In the same vein as Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator, I propose some renamings:

Stop using the #Chrome browser.
Delete #Meta and #Yandex apps on your phone, if you have them.
Meta secretly tracked #Android users’ web browsing. Privacy settings couldn’t stop it.

Meta deanonymisiert Android Nutzer.innen!

The Register: Google quietly pushes emergency fix for Chrome 0-day as exploit runs wild. “Google Threat Analysis Group (TAG) team members Clement Lecigne and Benoît Sevens spotted the high-severity bug, tracked as CVE-2025-5419, on May 27. It’s an out-of-bounds read and write vulnerability in Chrome’s V8 JavaScript engine that could allow a remote attacker to corrupt memory and potentially […]
9to5 Google: Chrome now lets users copy and search text from scanned PDFs. “One of the most frustrating things about opening a PDF in Chrome is that there is always a chance the original document was scanned and not created digitally. In that case, none of the text would be visible to Chrome’s PDF viewer, meaning none could be copied as text. It also means Chrome’s page search was […]

2 #CertificateAuthorities booted from the good graces of #Chrome
#Google says its Chrome browser will stop trusting certificates from two certificate authorities after “patterns of concerning behavior observed over the past year” diminished trust in their reliability.
The 2 orgs, #Taiwan -based #ChunghwaTelecom & #Budapest -based #Netlock , are among the hundreds of cert auth trusted by Chrome & most other #browsers to provide digital certificates that #encrypt traffic
