“It’s clear that #Collins still feels like he has been unfairly taken the lions share of the blame for the disastrous performance which he seemingly thinks everybody is partially guilty for, penning:

#LedZeppelin won’t let the performance be included on the official #LiveAid #DVD. Because, of course, they were ashamed of it.

And I find that I am usually the one blamed for it. It couldn’t possibly be the holy #LedZep who were at fault. It was that geezer who came over on #Concorde who wasn’t rehearsed. He was the culprit. That show-off.”

The top two Republicans and Democrats on the congressional appropriations committees are quietly protesting the White House’s decision to take down a special website tracking federal spending,
escalating a battle between Congress and Donald Trump over spending powers.
In a previously undisclosed letter sent last month to Russell Vought, the director of the Office of Management and Budget,
the lawmakers questioned the rationale for shutting down the website,
which they and advocacy groups said was a violation of the law.
“We look forward to working with you to restore public access to apportionment data in accordance with statute,” they wrote.
The letter was signed by Representative Tom #Cole of Oklahoma and Senator Susan #Collins of Maine, the Republican chairs of the House and Senate appropriations committees,
and the two senior Democrats on those panels, Representative Rosa #DeLauro of Connecticut and Senator Patty #Murray of Washington.

a #thirdparty in the actual statistical middle of US politics would create an emergency brake for most of the the #madking baloney.

#Murkowski, and maybe #Collins should consider becoming #independents, and help the creation of a party of the center, by virtue of first becoming a blocking faction...

maybe some democracy-friendly #Alaskans could bend her ear...

Besonders perfide: #Kinderarbeit sei grundsätzlich "eine Frage der elterlichen Rechte", sagt das dort verantwortliche Arschloch, Jay #Collins.

Please understand that #Murkowski, #Collins, and #McConnell only voted against #Hegseth because they could do so without endangering his nomination. It was a fake vote of conscience intended to contribute to salvaging their unsalvageable reputations. If Hegseth had needed their votes to be confirmed, they would have voted for him. Which senators get to vote performatively like this without endangering the outcome is carefully choreographed in advance of the vote.
