Jake in the desert<p>TL;DR - need a good app, simple syncing web site/service or something for keeping cooking, recipe, ingredient data.</p><p>Here goes.</p><p>I learned to cook mostly from my wife. She's so good at it, but hasn't wanted to much lately, which is totally fine, because learning it and keeping up with it and practicing has been cool. She's vegetarian now, and I'll eat whatever (I still eat meat). Also, she seems to really like pretty much all the meals I make, which still always surprises me (haha). </p><p>I'd always been kinda freaked out by the idea of cooking, but I've found once you do it a bit, you get more used to it. Intuition comes, and things make a lot more sense (as usual, just practicing something, putting in hours, you improve, etc).</p><p>We already sometimes kinda try to eat semi-healthy but I've noticed we're still taking in a bit too much sugar and bread (as it's easy to do on a more vegetarian diet), so I gathered together even more breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner ideas together, as I've wanted to do for a long time. </p><p>I'd been collecting up articles on meal ideas and recipes and it only took a couple hours to compile all the raw data into just a text file.</p><p>But I wanted a portable/mobile way of keeping & making the data searchable. I'd looked at a couple mobile apps (Stash, etc) for recipes, but I'm still not feeling any of them, really. I want a good UI and a quick way of adding recipes, ingredients, for shopping lists, etc. None of the apps I've found are great.</p><p>If you've read this long-ass thing, have any suggestions? App? Simple syncing website/service?
