A mystery dendrobium has blossomed and I am in love 
. It also smells good, which is kind of rare for an orchid. I sure don't remember where this plant came from, but I'm happy it has a home at my place

It's been about three years since I saved this #dendrobium #orchid from the trash bin. Back then she had three leaves left (which she proceeded to drop) and was teeming with mealybugs. And now look at her giving me the biggest flower spike she ever had

The full bloom of my little Dendrobium canaliculatum. This miniature antelope Dendrobium is brightly colored and has a pleasant floral scent.
My #Dendrobium trantuanii is blooming for me for the first time.
I can only assume the big, fuzzy 'rump' on the column looks irresistible to horny bees in the plant's native area in Vietnam.

2 col photos on white. Strange white flowers with a pair of pale green upright petals like twisty antennae, another pair like floppy ears, and a "face" striped deep magenta. In the background some yellow-green leaves. Sweet but not overpowering perfume.

#Dendrobium 'Samarai' (D stratiotes x D antennatum, Limberlost, 1967) juuuust about to open. Named after the Samarai Islands but frequently mislabelled as mediaeval Japanese aristocracy. I think this is my favourite orchid ever.
Um. So I went to Watson’s Greenhouse & Nursery again, and they had this orchid that screamed at me: “I WILL BE SO COOL” and “YOU CAN SEE I AM VERY TALL AND FANCY”. I had no choice.
