My husband Ahmed, a civil engineer, also worked hard. We lived a stable life and were preparing for a new chapter in our journey. starting the process for my doctoral thesis. Our future looked bright, and everything seemed promising.

Ok, finally. For Devi, a comrade of mine, and their family, who is very dear to me. Right now, the big push is for $400 to get their FSA (an account that they can use for medical costs in the so-called United States) out of the negative. It was garnished by a health provider for unpaid bills, which is really fucked, of course. They need it so they can pick up prescriptions that have copays (which is most of the family's prescriptions, unfortunately). We've got $40/400 so far.

This is a direct aid online crowdfunding blitz for vetted families from Gaza. This group of individuals does a good job of financial transparency, and all funds raised this weekend are split evenly between the families for food, water, medical care, and basic necessities. There are also two Gaza-based projects that funds will also be sent to, including a medical and mental health project by a young medical student, Ezz Lulu, who survived the multiple massacres at various hospitals in the North of Gaza.

And most importantly, may we see an end to all settler-colonial occupying forces, and literally all states, corporate entities, and hierarchies soon. Because I fucking hate crowdfunding, and also recognize it's necessary right now.

this is going to pay most of my bills for the July cycle but I need to start pushing really hard to get #MutualAid for August! and expenses for moving which we didn't know was going to happen and we need to buy things like lights and maybe a kitchen island. as an aside I have no clue how it is now halfway through 2025.

my spouse @inoru_no_hoshi and I are both disabled Jewish and Jewish-ish queers trying to survive in suburban Los Angeles, with our cat Zoey, and we need help with basically everything while I'm in school and they're doing job readiness (and not ready yet).

we're in the beginning of moving that's what we really needed but that's a hasty process with a lot of unforeseen expenses that we already don't have money for, so anything and everything helps us! this move is the first step towards getting at least partially out of an abusive situation.

currently we're at 0/1000 that we need, this gets us solved for this month and August and means we can buy needed items for moving like plastic bins to put things into.

Re: The tornado path in #StLouis Missouri so-called USA. #STL is a very racially segregated city, due to the history of chattel slavery during and post-Indigenous genocide and westward expansion of the settler state. These neighborhoods that the tornado hit are mostly Black and very materially neglected and deprived by the systems that exist. The area is largely out of internet access now, as well.

Hate to beg again but I already knew the soles of my shoes were starting to wear flat and today I see the fabric is starting to separate from the sole entirely. I need replacements before these completely fall apart.
