@wdlindsy
#DisasterDon's (mis)handling of #Covid resulted in 405K deaths in just 11 months.

TO THIS DAY, he (and millions in his #cult) still believe it was "just bad luck" and don't blame him for the deaths & economic disaster due to his mishandling of the #pandemic.

That ANYONE would want to put him back in charge was bad enough, but the fact he was ALREADY promising to put #BrainWormBearDumper in charge of the nation's healthcare was mind-numbing. #TheyAreTryingToKillEveryone

I WENT GROCERY SHOPPING YESTERDAY and prices had risen so much, I bought fewer items for the same price.

This made me think of #DisasterDon's dismissal of high prices with his "3 dolls instead of 30" remark.

WHAT HAPPENS TO THE JOBS of those doll makers (farmers, etc) who are now selling fewer products? 🤔

During #TheGreatRecession, skyrocketing gas prices under #Dubya decimated sales & crashed the #economy.

The #SupplyChainCrisis ALSO decimated sales.

THIS TIME, THE WOUND IS SELF-INFLICTED.

THANK YOU #JimmyKimmel.

Last night, Jimmy talked about Stephen Miller going on Fox to BOAST about #DonTheCon #First100Days accomplishments.

Fox introduced him with #polls showing that except for The #Border, #DisasterDon is underwater on EVERY OTHER CAMPAIGN PROMISE. Miller's response? Fire the pollsters.

The WH website produced a list of their top accomplishments (all 7 of them.)

End the war in #Ukraine & lower #inflation? No. Ban paper straws and end production of the penny. #100Days

I was just going back over some old bookmarks and decided to rewatch this episode of "Last Week Tonight" from last July predicting what might happen if #DonnieDumbass were to win a 2nd term.

He was right about everything, but most notably was #DisasterDon's "attache' turned Head of Personnel" observing how "Twitter is still running fine after #Musk fired 90% of the staff."

CLEARLY, #TheMuskrat is following the same playbook he used to turn Xitter into #Nazi Central. 😱

Like, I think the #EAS (especially with mobile alerts and NOAA Weather Radio) is lifesaving on a local/regional level for weather alerts and the like, even possibly could be on a single state level with SOME potential events (though we haven't, thankfully, needed that yet)

That said, the national level system seems like security theater nonsense at best (tests) and like "well hey thanks for telling me I have 15 minutes to live" in an actual need for it.

Not sure what I think of the #NationalEasTest - I think a national level #EAS is kind of pointless because we don't have the level of sheltering/evacuation/recovery capacity *needed* for an emergency of that level.

All the national level EAS could tell people to do in a nuclear attack or asteroid impact or similar is near useless because survival in such an overwhelming emergency is down to luck (and personal preparedness to a degree) anyway.

Opinions?

IMO the #US #FCC really needs to crack down on #police misuse of the #EAS via #IPAWS.

I've seen at least three police business related alerts go out in 24 hours - all along the lines of finding suspects.

Unless said suspect is literally killing everyone they see/armed with something putting a lot of people at imminent risk... this is a problem.

It's the EMERGENCY alert system, not the "help us find this guy to awwest pwease" system.
