This little nugget is now all grown up and 2 years old today. Best friend and essential family member. Just hope we've made a happy home for her and that she feels it. Beautiful little soul without an inch of grump or meanness even in a whisker.

You guys.

This is a picture of my first dog. He was a black lab called King.

He joined our family when I was 3.

I loved him with all my heart.

For various (very legitimate) reasons, my parents gave him away when I was 6 or 7.

I remember watching him ride off in the back of an old pickup surrounded by other children.

King lived a long happy life with those children, but I never stopped missing him.

After all the ugliness of yesterday, I needed some time with my gall today... Only a short walk, as her hind leg is still sore... (so yeah, I'll need to walk the treadmill, but I'm working on getting some spoons for that, I feel so exhausted)...

I feel so much and it's all so messy... Ugh... Feelings can be horrible at times... But... I do know that I love this gall to bits! 💜🐾

Did a little bit of people watching on what has been a nearly perfect couple of days in Monterey Bay. Still taking it a bit easy after dealing with a bad tooth, but it had the silver lining of forcing me to do more "observational" photography, letting the moments come to me rather than pursuing a great shot.
