Jumile<p>Had the *weirdest* problem I've seen in 30 years of <a href="https://mas.to/tags/linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>linux</span></a> use, following a power cut yesterday (while the computer was off): it refused to power off during shutdown, and behaved like a reboot instead.</p><p>An old Arch forum post suggested switching off the PSU (or yank power) just as it starts to boot again, wait, and then power on again. Tried it. I tested it this afternoon with my <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/EndeavourOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>EndeavourOS</span></a> &amp; <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/XFce" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>XFce</span></a> installation on this old DELL laptop.
