Lkdc<p>For people interested in viruses, <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mstdn.ca/@ducky" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>ducky</span></a></span>'s reports are an excellent resource. Most of the information is very recent, but yesterday's report also included a look back at the horse flu outbreak of 1872-1873. Although the outbreak caused horrendous suffering for the horses affected, it also created an awareness of horse welfare that benefited future horses. I hope that the current H5N1 outbreak will lead to a similar awareness of the welfare of cows and hens.</p><p><a href="https://mstdn.ca/@ducky/114091149152464167" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">mstdn.ca/@ducky/11409114915246</span><span class="invisible">4167</span></a></p><p><a href="https://dmv.community/tags/viruses" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>viruses</span></a> <a href="https://dmv.community/tags/EquineInfluenza" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EquineInfluenza</span></a> <a href="https://dmv.community/tags/H5N1" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>H5N1</span></a> <a href="https://dmv.community/tags/AnimalWelfare" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AnimalWelfare</span></a></p>
