Incident Creator ❎<p>The <a href="https://mastodon.nzoss.nz/tags/EverythingOpen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EverythingOpen</span></a> crew are putting the videos up from the 2024 conference, including mine on the Quirkey keyboard <a href="https://youtu.be/Oo6YyzAqJ4I" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">youtu.be/Oo6YyzAqJ4I</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p><p>There have only been minor tweaks to the case since then, though there's a few updates to the left-hand docs and typing tutor coming soon.</p>
David Bell<p>I had the opportunity to re-run my `What happened in production!?` presentation from <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://fosstodon.org/@everythingopen" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>everythingopen</span></a></span> this week and got the recording for anyone who might've missed it at <a href="https://aus.social/tags/eo2025" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>eo2025</span></a> <a href="https://aus.social/tags/EverythingOpen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EverythingOpen</span></a></p><p><a href="https://youtu.be/SefgWXTeVow" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">youtu.be/SefgWXTeVow</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>
Nicola<p>I keep thinking about <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://fosstodon.org/@everythingopen" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>everythingopen</span></a></span>. <br>It was a conference where I met wise elders of tech both hardware and software, and new entrants into the field, but also guardians of knowledge (librarians, museum peeps), rebels and rabble rousers, creative artists (paper, yarn, paint, pixel, words), politicians, data scientists. People looking and building things smaller by orders of magnitude than a human hair, people looking out into the vast distance of space. <br>I met dreamers and thinkers and everywhere there was the atmosphere of collaboration, community, and a desire for us to sustainably look after each other, our shared knowledge, and the planet we are lucky enough to exist on. </p><p>And it seems so much more than where it started: as a conference for technologists. </p><p><a href="https://aus.social/tags/eo2025" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>eo2025</span></a> <a href="https://aus.social/tags/EverythingOpen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EverythingOpen</span></a></p>
Paul Warren<p>got my Quirkey chording keyboard built and working! PaulWay<p>At <a href="https://aus.social/tags/everythingopen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>everythingopen</span></a> last week I saw a talk on P3.Express - <a href="https://p3.express/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">p3.express/</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p><p>It's a project management framework that is creative commons licensed and freely available in (counts) 31 languages. And because in some places in the world they don't have blindingly fast internet and modern multi-gigabyte phones, even the website has been designed to load quickly and be compact.</p><p>Can confirm. That thing loaded in less than a second for me. Makes a lot of other sites embarrassing and slow...</p>
Incident Creator ❎<p>Ideas from <a href="https://mastodon.nzoss.nz/tags/EverythingOpen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EverythingOpen</span></a>: Complementary Flexure Table. I had a thought at the conference after doing my presentation, and turned a conventional flat 2D precision motion table into a "popped up" version that doesn't sag. Appears to function at first glance, and looks like cubic art.</p>
Monica<p>What an adventure! Set off from home near Hobart almost 2 weeks ago to drive and ferry our way to Adelaide for the <a href="https://ausglam.space/tags/everythingopen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>everythingopen</span></a> conference. Well, we did it! We stopped at many little places, conferenced like pros and our little <a href="https://ausglam.space/tags/EV" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EV</span></a> leaf did an amazing job along the way. On the Spirit of Tasmania II currently making its way out of Port Phillip Bay. See ya mainland, until we step on you again.</p>
Incident Creator ❎<p>Damn. The long distance flight coupled with a bit of gardening this morning has screwed the hip. Back to walking with a stick for a while. Still, didn't happen at <a href="https://mastodon.nzoss.nz/tags/EverythingOpen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>EverythingOpen</span></a> at least.</p><p>Buggery poo fart bollocks.</p>
