Admin UruguaySiempre que escribo estos mensajes, terrmino emocionado porque me pongo a hacer un recuento de todo lo que pasó, lo bueno y lo malo. Este año (el 7mo de nuestra instancia) esta lleno de hitos para nuestro humilde servidor, de los cuales me voy a vanagloriar solo unos segundos. Finalmente, despues de tantos años, de soñarlo, de pensarlo, de tenerlo lejos, este año se concretó... (redoblantes....) Si señoras y señores, logramos la IP fija, como ya saben hace unos meses. Además de eso el server ahora tiene una nueva ubicación, mas resguardado y más controlado. Además pudimos, por primera vez en la historia de undernet, incorporar más hardware. En total hemos incorporado 3 computadoras más, todas con respaldo de energía y almacenamiento redundante y de bajo consumo, para balancear la carga de todos los servicios. Todo corre muy bien y sus frutos comienzan a verse. Este año también fue el primer año que mandamos a hacer mercandising que pudimos vender en la FLISoL y ho seguiremos haciendo en la medida que la demanda lo requiera. También este año, gracias a la IP fija, tuvimos la posibilidad de dar de alta e configurar un servidor NTP de tiempo universal al que hace tan solo unos días le pudimos incomporar una fuente primaria GPS stratum 1, lo que lo hace uno de los pocos servidores Stratum 1 públicos disponibles en Uruguay y latinoamérica (según NTP Pool y otros sitios). Además en lo que refiere a servicios, hemos incorporado entre otros, una instancia de Overleaf para edición de documentos LaTex online que está funcionando a pleno, en tiempos donde los grandes sitios (overleaf.com) restringen el tiempo de edición y compiladode documentos, acá estamos para dar la alternativa sin pagar 200 dolares al año. También incorporamos servidores de juegos online, con los clásicos de siempre, como Openarena, Teeworlds, OpenRA Dune 2000, Minetest y SuperTuxKart que ahora ya tienen un servidor dedicado para los juegos. Este año pudimos compartir momentos inolvidables como la FLISoL 2024, el V Congreso Latinoamericano de LibreOffice y el reciente 1er Encuentro Uruguayo de Redes Libres. En lo que respecta al uptime, llevamos mas de 160 dias de uptime y el servidor principal Undernet lo reiniciamos tan solo una vez en 2024 para cambiarlo de lugar. Todo esto indica que lejos de irnos, estamos acá para quedarnos. Y me guardé lo mejor para el final. Entregar dinero a quien lo necesita.Tengo suficiente, todo mi entorno tiene suficiente. Es más, tenemos DEMASIADO, mucho más de lo necesario.
