This is the mountainside trail that wends its way into the dense pines of the egret rookery. #FootpathFriday

Vertical photo looking back at a relatively narrow, slightly ruddy-edged gravel footpath that ends from the foot of the photo away into one o'clock and the horizon a long which dense Ponderosa pines and other mostly evergreen and some deciduous trees crowd and climb. The morning sun is flooding this mountainside trail, the sage and manzanita and Oregon grape shrubs shining with green amongst the rocks and grasses.

a fairly shaded forest path with a (not immediately obvious) STEEP incline, made easier or harder by the addition of a series of jagged and variously shaped rocks as makeshift stairs, with ferns and mossy trees & rocks to the sides, giving off a bit of a "location of the intro to Raiders of the Lost Ark" energy

Le sentier a l'air de monter vers le ciel, bleu avec des traînées de nuages. A barely used gravel footpath crosses the image disappearing behind clumps of flowers and then reappearing again. Pale mauve asters grows on the right of the path and verbenas on the left. A little further away on the left, there are red/yellow kniphofias and more verbenas on the right. Clumps of dry, straw coloured grasses populate the centre-ground, whilst a line of trees forms a backdrop, framing the image against a pale blue, cloud-flecked sky. A building appears inconspicuously in the top right of the image.
