Andrew Fialka about his new book "Hope Never to See It:
A Graphic History of Guerrilla Violence during the American Civil War". The topic itself is interesting - the messiness of insurgency and counter-insurgency during the occupation of Missouri. The format is also interesting - Fialka decided that a graphic novel would be the appropriate format for this scholarly work, which is the first time using this as the primary publication of a work of scholarship.

Fialka teaches at Middle Tennessee State University, and the book was published by UGA press.
