click.actionnetwork.orgTell the Senate: Block the GENIUS Act. Stop Trump’s Crypto Scam Now. The GENIUS Act is a catastrophic bill that would allow billionaires like Donald Trump and Elon Musk to create, market, and profit from unregulated stablecoins, all with barely any federal oversight. If it passed, the bill would legalize digital currencies backed by shady foreign investors, enable surveillance of American consumers, and strip away financial safeguards we all rely on. Senate Republicans will soon try to advance this legislation. That’s why we need to flood the Senate with public opposition and demand that Senators vote NO and block the GENIUS Act. Last week we learned that the Trump family is making a $2 billion deal with a Middle Eastern fund using his family’s own stablecoin. If that alone wasn’t bad enough, one of the firms involved, Binance, has already admitted to federal money laundering charges. This is exactly the kind of international corruption and legal evasion that the GENIUS Act would legitimize. Senate Republicans want to fast-track this bill but some Democrats are drawing a line in the sand, demanding real guardrails against corruption, money laundering, and consumer abuse. If they don’t succeed, this dangerous crypto scheme could become law very quickly. It’s a financial Wild West built by and for tech billionaires, with ordinary Americans set up to be left holding the bag. We can still stop this. Click ‘START WRITING’ to sign and send a message calling on your Senators to vote NO on advancing the bill and block the GENIUS Act and protect consumers now.

In 2004, #PetSounds was inducted into the Library of Congress’ National Recording Registry due to its cultural, historical, & aesthetic significance.

#BrianWilson planned a follow-up called #Smile, which he described as a “teenage symphony to God,” but it was scrapped after continual delays [Wilson released his version in 2004]. After the album’s cancellation in 1967, Wilson’s role in the band receded.

In 1964, #BrianWilson decided to stop touring with the #BeachBoys after experiencing a panic attack due to the band’s heavy schedule. He focused on his production, & in 1965 started work on the landmark experimental pop album #PetSounds. Wilson was the mastermind behind the Pet Sounds sessions, working alongside famed studio musicians the #WreckingCrew. At the time of its release, Pet Sounds was considered a relative commercial flop & critical failure [can you imagine?].

A year later, the band signed with Capitol to release its debut, Surfin’ Safari; the following year, “Surfin’ U.S.A.” became the #BeachBoys’ first U.S. Top 10 single. #Genius mythologies such as #Elon Musk, Bill Gates and Sam Bankman Fried created the Tony Stark mythology around them to make people believe they could do anything. No one in our universe can be Tony Stark. Comic book humans are a compelely different and superior species to us.
Buildung anything complex requires the collective hard work of many thousands of specialists.
But the myth persists to give them a god like status, better than mere mortals like us, therefore they know better than us. They can also cure scrufula.
All these people were geniuses at were manipulating finance and patent laws, exploiting labor and tricking VCs into giving money to their unrealistic business ideas.
Gates was at least a decent programmer. But he wasn't smarter at it than anyone else, he just was the first to patent it and exploit labor for it. The others just created their genious mythologies out of whole cloth and great PR
