To start with, how are the two sentences linked?
"I have been told that a wooden cup, that used to be in a gilded metal box along with the shin bone of St Benedict, found in a field in Berkshire, is the Holy Grail of the Christian religion. For me, the US Constitution, and the laws of this nation will be strictly interpreted and followed. No exceptions".
Also, the snivelly little arse-nugget knows full well that Climate Change is a real, scientific fact, that people can see, smell, touch and taste but for now he's rich, and he will be dead in 30 years, so he doesn't give a toss when he kills potentially millions of people.
This takes us back to the whole idea that political decision-makers in his position who are deliberately spreading and trading in lies they know will kill people, should be charged with 2nd-degree murder for their deliberate actions.

After the devastating Dutch elections [‘23-11-22] I decided to dedicate my toots back to the original goal.
I care about a lot of issues, most global some national; but I won't be 'tooting' about them all.
First and formost I WANT to 'toot' about:
* #ClimateSolutions
Because I trust that most people reading know about the dreadfull future of climate change, I want to spread the, possible, solutions to a problem rather than reiterate on the problem.
* #ClimateJustice
One of those solution might be sueing the polluters or governments on human rights, violations or #Ecoside
* #ClimateAction
Action is by all means a solution.
* #ClimateEmergency
* #Climate
As said I want to focus on the global issue. I don't want to nitpick on too much principles. Like: "What's worse: eating cows or driving diesel?" Both are devastating behaviors of intitled rich people!
On the otherhand therefore I truly respect ANY effort to make a change for the better.
Most of all... I want to add instead of preach. Bring some bits of the puzzle to the table.
I'm NOT a scientist of any kind. I'm just a disabled old white guy typing on a desk reading and searching a lot.
I tend to toot 10-15 toots at 13:00* that I boost again unchanged at 20:00* the same day, but that's NOT a promise. [*=my [Amstedam] time]

I guess apart from that unthinkingness one has to somewhat anyway "back your own team" or side with who pays the bills... ?
Not many relationships or structures seems to allow logic or reasoning...or space between people to figure it out using more moderated way... with all levels of management or peers present or just something more neutrally somehow....

So kind of I don't blame people, because those that do think (those I've seen and all the net I've tried) they themselves are in a big pickle about just speaking or thinking about how bad it is and constantly very troubled what to do about it (and a lot ignore it).
So while thinking is good process (lol funny to say that) there isn't much obvious way show by others other than semi-suicide to use your own body as a kind of undoing from being born in debt-based unthinking society that you can mostly ONLY either continue doing the same debt-based stuff or take the hit yourself somehow in doing something #Greta / #Rogerhallam / #Assange style to try wake others up a bit more.
Aaaaanyway... just on the subject of people in mass going along with evil, here's an interesting video that might explain it well !

#Psychology of people is perhaps not just a modern thing but it's stronger-than-ever today in the mindset and further design abusing it all.
Not least debt-based systems which result in lack of time from people trying to hunt constantly for negative-math money slipping ever far away from society... leading to not much incentive to think - it's a total loss to some degree, debt only being part of what people don't invest in each other without institution.
Investing in each other without institutions is difficult.
People want to feel more "in" than totally "out" in some collective and that is what systems are often planning to do that from those creators/managers behind it who don't really care...
