@Techmeme At least it's not totally absurd for a corporation known for #connectors in #computers and #tech to extend to cover #RF & #HF #connector manufacturers.
According to Reverse Beacon results, it looks like 10M is completely dead, 15M is very short and 20M is there but ho-hum, so #HF propagation from my location in central #AZ may be mediocre for the upcoming #NAQP #CW contest. All that to say I'm ready and I'll do the best I can to represent Braille Team #2! #AmateurRadio #HamRadio
Got a compact 6m mast for supporting the new linked dipole antenna for my bike tour. Everything is coming together so upcomming week it's time to build that next #hf antenna

@k8vsy I did #FieldDay25 with my club. We were 4A, with a GOTA station. We finished with over 2,100 QSOs, most of them on CW. I was the captain of the GOTA station, and we had quite a few kids and newly-licensed make their first #HF contacts. I only made 66 contacts myself, but it was a great Field Day.

Wow, the #HF bands had been very quiet most of the morning (US Central time), but over the lunch hour 20m seems to have picked way up, at least within the US. Just a few stations decoded from Central and South America, no Europe. The polar attenuation persists. Interesting stuff.
I love this little #QRPp CW #MorseCode #Pixie rig. Haven't made a #QSO yet due to operating during contests or inferior #HF band conditions but it was fun to build and is fun to operate. #AmateurRadio #HamRadio
When temporarily operating abroad, some years back on #HF it used to be common to spell "/" as a "stroke". On several occasions I operated on #hamradio #satellites and used this form too but it seemed to me to cause some confusion. I sometimes hear on air this symbol being pronounced as a "slash" (and, in one memorable instance, the operator did not pronounce it at all, simply gave the country prefix followed by their call sign). How do you spell the "/" when operating abroad?
This analysis provides evidence linking cannabis-use to adverse cardiovascular events, including heart attack (MI), ischemic stroke, heart failure (HF), & mortality. Notably, cannabis use appears to pose a substantial & independent risk for these outcomes, even in a population without traditional cardiovascular risk factors. #cannabis #marijuana #heartattack #stroke #heartfailure #mi #hf #medicine #health https://www.jacc.org/doi/epdf/10.1016/j.jacadv.2025.101698
Another tough day on the AmateurRadio #HamRadio #HF bands. But thanks to #MastodonHam J.C. @KC8JC started the morning off GREAT on 40 meters with this #POTA #parksontheiar #MorseCode CW #QSO at US-7956 Beargrass Creek State NAture Preserve Louisville, KY . USA
#AmateurRadio #HamRadio #HF Bands for this morning's #POTA #parksontheair CW #MorseCode activation was like an Allstate commercial, "MAYHEM". #40meters was but found relief on #30meters. Thanks Alan #W2aew @alanattek for finding me as I couldn't hear you on 40. Got in 18 contacts before 20 MPH winds started.
Just hooked up an oscilloscope to my HF antenna feed line and it looks like I'm getting a large ~1 MHz signal from the antenna before being filtered in the transceiver to receive 14.074 MHz.
any tips on where to get #HF propagation reports that are accessible for #Blind? i'm just interested on what frequencies have activities for listening. #Radio #AmateurRadio #HamRadio #Accessible #BlindHam

This is the end of the 2025 CW round of the French Championship contest.
