Pottery by Osa<p>I uploaded a five minute unedited video of me coil building a pot, just as a test since I’m new to PeerTube. ceramic tree sculpture inspired by the Warren Woods in Michigan and the Somme woods north of Chicago. this is the moment of the year when trees really shine— their key roles (home or shelter or refuge for wild creatures, food for wild creatures, perfect place for lichen and moss to thrive, connecting and supporting their neighbor trees) are essential for a nature to thrive. it’s not very easy to see them all, but there are four creatures enjoying my tree. can you spot them all?

Day 1
Coil building with micaceous clay, which is clay that has metallic flecks of mica in it. Feels great to work with and has special properties. #clay #pottery #handbuilding #coilbuilding
It's a quiet day at StarField farm. There's a cheery fire in the wood stove. The sun is out & the fresh snow is bright. The dogs are napping. And I'm playing with clay.
Day 17: a hand built dish on which I imprinted a palm frond. I love the texture of this one.
Day 15: a hand built bowl. The deep green color is from a black copper wash with clear glaze on top.
Day 11: I hand built a butter dish using clay slabs. I'll continue practicing to refine my technique, but I loved how the imprinted fennel flowers came out.
