Local broadcasters carried on as if we were doomed. But it was a pretty Apocalypse; 2) Lit our wood stove for the first time this season. Finally got cold enough. Last year we would have fired it up at least a month ago. The psychological comfort it gives is immeasurable right now; 3) Going to make strawberry-rhubarb jelly this afternoon, the last in a list of home-made Christmas gifts. Hoping to mail off packages this coming week. I'm quite pleased with it but I wish I'd gone for red tabs instead the the green ones. The red would have matched the zip.
