MissConstrue<p>So...I finished the schooner painting, but I'm kinda disappointed with it. I mean, it mostly looks like the picture I took, but it's not...alive? It's static, it's more like a logo than a ship in motion. Plus I got lost doing the clouds and the whole thing got way too grey, and pffft. But! I learned a lot about working from a picture rather than just making stuff up. I figured out some perspective things I didn't understand before I started. :) <br>Honestly tho, I think my paintings come out better, or at least make me happier, when I'm not trying to force something onto the canvas, but rather when I just let the muses and the paint tell me where they want to be. Which is why I'm going to go cosplay Jackson Pollock...minus the misogyny and drunken car crash. <br><a href="https://mefi.social/tags/art" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>art</span></a> <a href="https://mefi.social/tags/learning" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>learning</span></a> <a href="https://mefi.social/tags/meh" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>meh</span></a> <a href="https://mefi.social/tags/Itried" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Itried</span></a></p>
