Oh no, In n Out is leaving California? Why, that’s . . .

Oh wait, I forgot: I don’t give a shit.

#Goodriddance to a company run by people claiming to love Jesus but who actually worship the dollar; who take the money you paid for their food and contribute it to pro-forced-birth candidates; who require a doctor’s note from any employee wishing to wear a mask; who proselytize with every cup or wrapper they hand out; who cause traffic to snarl around each location; and who got rich in California while bitching about how “hard” it is to do business here.

Hey, In n Out: If this is such a hard place to operate, don’t just move your HQ—go ahead and close your hundreds of locations in CA. You make #hamburgers. I think we’ll be okay without you.

I guess it's now a Nazi burger. How appropriate that it's moving to Tennessee. Having to comply with covid protections and living minimum wages was just too much for this snowflake.

In-N-Out HQ moving to Tennessee using COVID mask mandates and vaccines as excuses for “hard to do business in CA” is pretty shitty.

I put up with your weird Bible stuff on cups because you treated employees well, but this unsettles me. Very disappointed.

On Monday, the #WhiteHouse issued a press release touting the changes that #food companies have made during President #DonaldTrump’s “Make America Healthy Again” push. One of these changes, the White House said, was that #InNOut “transitioned to 100% #beefTallow.”

The White House linked back to an April 1 tweet from a fan account for the restaurant, which was labelled an April Fools’ Day prank.

I have a theory about why Californians are so obsessed with (and defensive of) In n Out, which to a Midwesterner is, at best, a decent fast-food burger but nothing incredible. I think it might be because they crave comfort food—but in an image-obsessed culture that assigns moral value to food consumption, it gives people a pass to eat comfort food without being judged because hey, it's a California pride thing so it's okay.
