Cuz I don't see #deposit on #TetraPak and tue only #lobbyism I saw was from corporations like #innocent that made deposit for #FruitJuice and -Nectar in #PET bottles mandatory.
- But Cartons never had deposit on them.
An argument can be made about mentally ill who pose a danger to themselves or others, and whether they should be confined for treatment against their will. I'm not advocating for or against that.
However, locking up accused people until trial just because they've been charged with something is a non-starter. They haven't been convicted of anything yet! All the government would have to do is charge you with a phony crime, and they can lock you away for years? No thanks.
If someone is out on conditions - bail, parole, whatever form of supervised release - and they violate those conditions, then you may have justification to confine them. It would depend on the circumstances.
But "lock up everyone ever charged before conviction" is autocratic dictator bullshit.
For some reason I thought this was a D&D themed cafe. Nope. 
The coffee is good though.

In computer systems, we use the word #privilege to describe the level of #access a user has. Whether they can #read a file. Whether they can #update a file.
Our #government is updated by #elections. By #voters. For most of #USA history, Black people did not have update access to government. This is not Black history, this is #USHistory.
When you research Black history, remember this is our shared history.
These are the stories about our #nation. Many of these are like the #family stories that are told in whispers. Bad things that were done by people that we're related to.
When people say that they don't want this taught because it will make their #children feel bad about themselves, they usually mean one of two things:
- /they/ feel bad about this #evil themselves, and they feel the kind of #guilt that they want to hide from. They want their kids to remain #innocent about the evil in the world, especially this kind
or
- they /don't/ feel bad about these #evils and they do /not/ want to be #judged by their children
