Thomas<p><a href="https://social.sciences.re/tags/introduction" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>introduction</span></a> Hello Mastodon, I'm a researcher at <a href="https://social.sciences.re/tags/INSERM" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>INSERM</span></a> (french biomedical institute), working on <a href="https://social.sciences.re/tags/immunology" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>immunology</span></a>. I'm into the adaptive immune system, B-cells and antibodies mostly these days, and do both experiments and computational work. Do you know how the immune system learn ? It involves random copy-paste, localized mutations and meta-darwinism. It's very neat and unique under the jargon.<br>Other than that, I read, play <a href="https://social.sciences.re/tags/ukulele" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ukulele</span></a>, win at board games, binge video-games, and complain mostly. I also sometimes fall into weird procrastination rabbit-holes, usually involving unnecessary coding. <br>I really hate social networks, but after all these years, some bit of FOMO got through. Also, I can put in my next grant that I'm "involved in diffusion and outreach".</p>
