Of course, mods have to fight fake typos and propaganda for letter twisters! But our typos would be freed from that nasty killing edit feature! Or is the <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/edit" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>edit</span></a> feature sending them to that instance? 😮 😲</p>

Starting a new instance and receiving quality content from other instances of the Fediverse is hard — there's a lot of spam and bots boosting low-quality content. We tried following automated relay accounts to bring content to our Pixelfed instance, but they don't filter their boosts and bring lots of poor-quality images (AI, spam, low definition etc). So, if we want to offer a nice instance to our family and friends, we're kind of obliged to curate accounts one by one to sort of "control" what enters our server (in the beginning only - after some days, we can't really control anymore). That's why we created this "relay" account. <a href="https://hibipix.com/discover/tags/introduction?src=hash" class="u-url hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#introduction</a> <br>

We don't automate anything; we select every account we follow carefully, so our instance users can see nice photos in the global feed and consequently find more interesting people to follow.<br>

We follow many people — more than 1,000, chosen individually based on photo quality and/or creativity, as well as accounts that post niche content that may interest our users, such as nature, art, cycling, and aviation. Over the last 2 weeks, we have spent hours and hours searching for nice accounts to follow. 😅<br>
