Liam O'Mara IV, PhD<p>This is taken from an <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/FDR" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FDR</span></a> speech from 1944. He won an unprecedented fourth term with these ideas. And we have utterly failed to see them through. Listen and think. We need a <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/JobGuarantee" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>JobGuarantee</span></a>, <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/HousingGuarantee" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HousingGuarantee</span></a>, and freedom from predatory <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/capitalism" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>capitalism</span></a> to achieve basic human dignity.</p>

Taxes are a way to limit inflation by controlling the size of the money supply. Therefore, taxes should be taken from where money is pooling and stagnating in the hoards of the rich not from where money flows. This would allow the government greater fiscal capacity to "stimulate the economy" by provisioning the working class (which includes currently unpaid workers and disabled people) with money. <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/MMT" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MMT</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/UBI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>UBI</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.ca/tags/JobGuarantee" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>JobGuarantee</span></a></p>
