Kkkaroline’s grandpa/husband is a landlord at Hampton Beach, NH. Hampton Beach is pretty trashy, that’s where high school kids go to drink in public and raise hell, it’s where people from other states go if they want to get drunk and do drugs at the beach and not embarrass themselves in front of anyone they know.

Taxes pay for the policing and the cleanup after the parties, and when that town got flooded out really badly a couple times in the past few years FEMA and taxes helped build the roads back that the ocean washed away.

How does she expect her grandpa/husband to earn record profits from his rental properties if the town they are in becomes a drug infested den again? What happens when his properties flood and the flood insurance doesn’t pay because there are no rules and regulations anymore?

Edited to add that New Hampshire doesn’t have sales tax or state income tax. Just property tax, there’s that rooms and meals tax, they reduced the business tax significantly over the past few years, and then the only other taxes I think we pay are the municipal taxes we pay when we register our vehicle vehicles.

How does she think this is going to work out next time the beach Properties flood?
