Ich lese mich gerade zum Thema "Passkey & Linux" schlau. Sehe ich das richtig, dass aktuell das nur in Kombination mit KeepassXC und nem Browser, der über die Paketverwaltung installiert wurde?
Das wäre ja schon irgendwie enttäuschend...
Depuis quelque temps @keepassxc demande d'approuver les nouvelles autorisations.

Wie kann ich denn einer Extension in #librewolf oder #firefox sagen, dass sie erneut nach Permissions fragen soll?
#keepassxc-browser fragte nach neuen Permissions; ich habe versucht herauszufinden, wozu sie dienen soll. Jetzt möchte ich diese Permission erteilen, aber das Notification-dings vom Browser ist natürlich zu&weg.
Mir fällt nur ein, die Extension zu entlöschen und neu zu installieren: fällt dir was Besseres ein?
Ahora que llevo un tiempo usando #Kinoite y prácticamente todas las aplicaciones instaladas desde #Flatpak puedo decir que todo fue mejor de lo esperado, pero algún bache sí me encontrado. Uno de ellos es que no funciona la integración #Keepassxc con #Firefox instalados ambos desde #Flatpak.
Aquí he encontrado una posible solución aunque todavía no he tenido tiempo de probarla.

Ein Umstieg auf z.B. #LinuxMint könnte hier helfen. Die Installation und Einrichtung auch für Anfänger geeignet. Viele bekannte Anwendungen werdet ihr auch für #Linux wiederfinden (#firefox #thunderbird #steam #vlc #keepassxc #libreoffice...). Hier unterstützen euch einige Reparatur Cafés oder Computerclubs und bieten spezielle "LinuxCafés" an.
Der Rechner kann somit noch über Jahre genutzt werden. Probiert es mal aus! Ganz nebenbei punktet das neue System auch in Sachen #Datenschutz.

Hey #linux peeps who use #keepassxc, how do you handle new signups? I seem to have issues with the browser/extension caching.
For example, on a new site the extension detects no entry, so a flip to KeePassXC (via window manager) and create one. Back in the browser, the extension still doesn't see it. I close the tab, try again, no dice. At some point, it sees the new entry. Great!
But then the site's password rules are violated. Another round trip with the extension caching the old password.
@agonzalez I have been using #KeePassXC for years. It is great software; never had a problem.
I've been using 1Password for years and would like to renew my license. Unfortunately, they switched to an online subscription model that I'm not willing to accept. I refuse to pay for a subscription and I want to store my data locally. After looking into alternatives, I think #KeePassXC is the best one. Does anyone have experience with it?
