Happy Monday from Pepper! He's 5 weeks old now and is drinking water and eating dry food, though he still relies on his mother's milk for now. He is running, climbing, and exploring with his constant companion Riley. Life is good.
Picked up two new temporary foster kittens on Friday. A brother and sister duo, about three months old. Both are gray tuxedos. They are a little skittish and do quite a bit of hiding under the couch. But they will also come out when they want to play or get pets. They are both underweight and are staying with us with the hopes we can bulk them up a little.

Riley has discovered the sun! Of course, his brother Pepper tried to ruin things by using him as a pillow, but Riley ignored him. Eventually, Pepper moved about a foot away and got his own sun spot.

Both kittens are doing well. They are now 5 weeks old. They are both drinking water out of a bowl. Riley ate a fair amount of dry kitten food last night. Pepper wasn't interested. He's still nursing. Neither likes the taste of wet food, but that may change. Both are now out of the box and free to roam the room. We are looking into getting a litter box for them.
Someone just discovered my catnip plant.
