#kobo could be a nice device. But #Rakuten really sucks. It provides 0 support, 0 bug reporting channels. They just ignore their customers.

And, unfortunately, Kobo has got some little stupid but annoying bugs, which Rakuten has 0 intentions to fix.

I'm selling my Elipsa 2E and switching to something else, maybe a reMarkable or something else.

Suggestions? I just need to read epub and PDF books, and takes side notes with a pen.

#Reading on my #Kobo Clara 2E

Maybe someone here can help me ... a few weeks/months ago my #Kobo #Aura #ereader stopped syncing #books from #Libby. No idea why. I can still import them via Adobe Digital Editions but I'd much rather the sync was working. Did this happen to anyone else? Is there a fix?

Somehow I never knew that my Kobo ereader had native support for offline Wikipedia .zim files! Its only able to hande this 2010 curated version with 47k articles, but it works quite well, especially once I cranked up the font size and line spacing for easier link navigation. This could be fun for wiki rabbit holes on long flights..

Ryan North's "How to Invent Everything" is a fast, fun read, but this horrific detail was news to me and confirmed that I'm VERY glad to live in #Aotearoa rather than on the other side of the Tasman, where even the plants want to kill you, horribly and painfully.

Just ordered a Kobo Libra Colour so now the only money I’m paying that asshole Bezos is for a couple of S3 buckets that I haven’t had time to move off of AWS.

Very much looking forward to the time when his fascist collaborator ass doesn’t get a single euro cent from me.

(Another plus: Kobo works with Overdrive and I checked and Dublin libraries support it so you should be able to check out library books directly on the device. And I’m quite looking forward to a little bit of colour and the notetaking features.)

My #Kobo Clara has arrived! I celebrated by purchasing the ebook version of my favorite #StephenKing novel. Then I added my first self-published story from 2015—a personal take on an apocalypse, inspired by #TheStand (with monsters).

Starting this Friday, I’ll be offering my work on platforms other than Amazon for the first time. I’m still getting things ready, but 99-cent pre-orders for this story are already live on the link below for Kobo, #Smashwords, and #BarnesandNoble (among others). More stories to come!

We hebben nu de #kobo Clara en de #pocketbook Verse Pro.
Bij de helft van de boeken gaat het naar de reader niet goed en komt er een leesfout of beveiligingserror.
