Backpacking trip in 2008 (October/November)
From Peru we travelled to Bolivia. First we visited Cobacabana by the lake Titicaca and from there we visited Isla del Sol. From Cobacabana we travelled to La Paz by interesting bus ride which included the transport of our bus over the river by "ferry".

In La Paz we visited the Coca Museum and toured around the city. Our final destination in Bolivia was the town of Sucre. For some reason we don't have many pictures from Sucre but it was a nice city.

My clearest memories from Bolivia are the bus rides which would be best described as long and uncomfortable intestinal massages.

Reissu vuonna 2008 (loka-/marraskuu)
Perusta matkustimme Boliviaan. Aluksi vietimme aikaa Cobacabanassa Titicaca-järven rannalla, josta vierailimme myös Isla del Solin Saarella. Cobacabanasta matkustimme La Paziin.

HOW COOL IS THIS? 🤩

Women in #Bolivia are #KNITTING tiny #occluders ('top hats' to block a hole in the #heart) of ELASTIC METAL, which are then folded up in a catheter, inserted into the body, travel ON THEIR OWN to the heart, then 'pop open' to their proper shape, b/c they 'remember' what shape they are supposed to be.
